Sex Equals Happiness

JOB SATISFACTION NEWS: According to scientists in England, leaders in the field of “happiness economics,” increasing sex frequency in marriage from once a month to weekly provides as much happiness as a $50,000 a year raise. Also, a lasting marriage is the equivalent of $100,000 annually. So, if you spend too much time at the office trying to get a raise, you’re better off leaving early and doing business with your spouse.

STATISTICAL NEWS: A new study shows that about 42.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot, with a margin of error of around + or – 3% to 7%.

FUEL PRICE RELIEF NEWS: General Motors and Daimler-Chrysler have signed agreements to develop hydrogen fuel cell vehicles over the next five years. The U.S. Department of Energy will provide $44 million, General Motors $44 million and Daimler-Chrysler $70 million, resulting in 140 vehicles. To recover their investment, each vehicle will have a sticker price of $1.25 million. Sales of these vehicles are expected to have zero effect on global warming.

WAY OFF BROADWAY NEWS: The first major stage production of The Sound of Music in Austria has been a huge success, especially with Vienna audiences. When the original movie showed in South Korea, it was such a big hit that one theater owner decided to squeeze in more showings in a day by shortening the film, so he edited out all the songs.
