Hand Me Down Boyfriends

Dear Frankly,

I have a situation. My sister and I are the best of friends. We share almost everything, clothes, music, jewelry, you name it. But recently, she broke up with her boyfriend of more than four years. How long do I have to wait before asking him out? I don’t want to upset her, but he and I have great chemistry. Is two weeks long enough? She didn’t cry much and seems to be over him. How about one whole month – that’s over four weeks. Is that long enough? Help me figure this one out!

Hot 4 My Sister’s X

Dear Hot 4,

I am guessing that you are the younger sister because the tone of you letter tells me you are used to getting your sister’s hand-me-downs. Why should her men be any different? If she’s done with him–he’s yours.

Dear Frankly,

I am having trouble meeting men my age and I need some suggestions of where I could possibly find a compatible dating companion. I’m in my late 20s, college educated, and, though I am no Ms. America, I’m definitely no lump of coal either. I’ve been told that my standards are too high in the past, but really I don’t think that’s the case. I don’t want to be single forever, but do not feel I should have to settle. Will you please help me in my search for Mr. Reasonably Right?

Sick of Being Single

Dear Sick Of,

I met my fourth husband using a computer. It wasn’t a dating service. It was at a cyber cafe. I spilled coffee on his laptop. He never knew I did it on purpose. You just have to go out there and reel them in, honey.
