Forest Gnome Sighting?

Q: I heard a story from a schoolmate who saw a figure bending down and picking up several sticks. He was a about 7-13 inches high, a gnome-like man with homemade looking clothes, a pointed hat and a long gray beard! He thought to himself that maybe he allowed him to see him because maybe he trusted him. Did he see a forest gnome? Was it real or his imagination?

A: I don’t know what grade your schoolmate was in, so it’s hard to tell whether or not it is a child’s imagination or he spotted a forest gnome. Perhaps your schoolmate was tall for his age and saw a small man gathering wood to make S’mores.

Q: I turned on the lamp in our bathroom one evening while walking in my sleep. What I saw next shocked me. Staring back at me from the bathroom mirror was the image of a young woman! I am all man. I looked down at my body and what I saw confirmed the image in the mirror. I didn’t know what to do about it. I was starting to panic. I didn’t want to be a member of the opposite sex. After a short time, I went back to bed. I awoke all man again. What do you think the message of my dream was?

A: I don’t know. It could be answered by whether or not you left the lid up.

Q: I believe I was visited by a spirit trapped in the physical world. It may sound a little weird, but the shape of the specter was definitely female. I didn’t think much of it, but then it started to fondle me. I kind of enjoyed it so I let it go on for a while. Then something startled me and the ghost disappeared. I am of the female persuasion, so I began to wonder about my own sexual orientation. I am straight, but confused as to why I let a female ghost touch me in that way. Does this mean I am really bisexual?

A: As far as I understand it, you can’t feel the touch of an apparition. That would lead me to believe you were actually touching yourself, which has absolutely nothing to do with sexual orientation. That would make your ghost a voyeur. That’s a separate issue.

Q: A friend of mine recently shared a story with me that sounds quite bizarre. She and a friend were eating fish sticks in her bedroom when they opened the door to scratching sounds. They saw claw marks in the door and hurried to another room. When they returned the marks were gone. What could have possibly caused this phenomena?

A: Childhood imaginations, alcohol, or a poltergeist snow shoe crab.
