L-o-l-a Lola

Q: My son has found an imaginary friend. He calls her Lola. I think he got the name off a cartoon show. It seems she advises him on matters he chooses not to discuss with us. So far, I haven’t seen any negative affects on his social behavior or his relationships with other people. He talks with Lola when he thinks no one else is around, but I have observed him more than a few times in lengthy conversation. Should I interfere or leave him be? A: I’d normally say leave him be, but the accompanying picture you sent shows…

The homes of Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball, Errol Flynn, Ozzie Nelson, Mary Pickford and Bugsy Seigel are on the top ten list of celebrity haunted homes. Do you think their spirits stay behind after the body has expired to watch over their former belongings or are they possibly seeking some kind of justice for actions taken against them while they were alive? A: Just guessing, but Bugsy might have been rejected by afterlife bosses and went the way of jack-‘o-lantern. Q: During…

Is Time Travel Really Possible?

Q: I read where a survey of 3,000 people has revealed 30 per cent of adults across the UK believe time travel is possible and not confined to the realms of fictional films or television. And nearly half of adults (44 per cent) wrongly believe memory-erasing technology similar to that used in the film, Men in Black, and hover boards, such as those showcased in Back to the Future, exist in reality. Are people that gullible on your side of the pond? A: Heck, we’ve got people here who believe our President is an alien. Brits have some catching up…
