Jailbirds and Online Jilters

Dear Frankly,

I have a brother-in-law who is constantly in trouble. His antics are even starting to affect my marriage to his sister. We get along fine until we start arguing about him. She’s the one who brings him up and I don’t want to ignore her. What should I do?

Puzzled Hubby

Dear Puzzled,

My third husband had a younger brother that couldn’t stay out of jail. His mother kept bailing him out. He’d apologize and get everyone feeling sorry for him. Then, not a month later, he’d be right back in the slammer. My husband and I argued until we started sleeping in separate bedrooms. It was the best thing that happened to me. I was sleeping soundly through the night, feeling refreshed all day long and ready and willing to fight with him all over again.

Dear Frankly,

I met a girl online who seemed to be exactly what I’m looking for. I sent her an email but she didn’t respond. She later said that she wanted to see my picture first. I waited a few days and then finally sent it to her. She was very impressed and responded to my email with great excitement! She gave me her phone number. After our phone call, she seemed a little surprised because I was not cocky like in my emails. I told her that she didn’t know me, but she refused future calls and never calls me. Care to give me some advice on this?

Confused Online Hopeful Dater

Dear Confused,

Sure! Get a life! So, you just got dumped by someone you never met and never even developed a relationship with. She was right–you’re a weenie. Get over it.
